Maria Puente highlights the growing national realization of the importance of garages and garage doors. "Here's the problem: Our cars are bigger (all those SUVs). Our garages are bigger (three-car is now standard). Most of our garages face the street (so you can't miss them). Bulky, boring garages make our houses look bad (and cheap)." This list was based on voluntarily submitted sales data, and was published in the association's January-February magazine issue on page 30.
